Illawarra 37th Annual Spring Rose Show 5-6 November Jamberoo School of Arts Hall [Map] Allowrie Street, Jamberoo.

The Illawarra 37th Annual Spring Rose Show will be held in the picturesque valley of Jamberoo on 5-6 November. The show is widely recognised as the best regional show in NSW, drawing exhibitors from across NSW and visitors from all over Australia and overseas. The Jamberoo School of Arts Hall will be filled with roses and rose plants will be on for sale in the foyer. The program includes demonstrations and sales of pressed flowers, gardening tools and accessories as well as photography, a children’s colouring-in competition and more. Visitors can also enjoy the art show being held across the road in the Jamberoo Bowling Club.

Creative Moments Exhibition 2011 23 September to 12 October 2011 Shoalhaven City Arts Centre Free entry
Don’t miss this inspirational, annual joint exhibition of the Shoalhaven Woodcraft Society, Nowra Spinners & Weavers, and the Shoalhaven Potters, now in its 20th year.
This exhibition provides an outlet for those who mould, sculpt, carve, plane, chisel, knit, felt and weave their art with clay, wood or wool to jointly exhibit their works from these three complementary natural and tactile media.
Many of the items on exhibition will be for sale.

Shoalhaven Orchid Spectacular
1-2 October Opens 9am Nowra High School, Moss Street, Nowra
 See large orchid displays from seven participating societies, as well as benches full of blooms that will ensure a truly magnificent orchid experience. Replacing the spring show normally held in September, but this year the Shoalhaven Orchid Society is hosting, for the first time, the South and West Regional Show and Conference. This is a biennial event involving orchid societies from all over New South Wales as well as Canberra. The show will be open to the public from 9.00 am on Saturday and Sunday. A Lecture Program will run over the two days with expert speakers from the orchid fraternity covering a diverse range of topics.

Poets will love the daily poets’ breakfast and the annual bush poetry competition.
