Bundanon Open Day: a perfect Sunday !
Why not spend your Saturday or Sunday surrounded by natural and artistic beauty at a Bundanon Homestead open day?
Just 20 minutes drive from Nowra, Bundanon is Arthur and Yvonne Boyd’s gift to the Australian People.
It comprises their homestead, Arthur Boyd’s studio, Boyd family archives and collections as well as 1100 acres of pristine natural bushland and fertile farming land on the banks of the Shoalhaven River.
This beautiful heritage listed property opens to the public each Sunday from 10:30am – 4pm.
Gardens and Bushwalks
Wander through the Bundanon Homestead and Arthur Boyd’s Studio, explore the homestead gardens with their sculptures of the Boyd family and friends, take one of the four marked bushwalks down to the riverbank or through the eucalypt forests or take a guided tour.
The gardens provide a picturesque setting for a picnic lunch. You can even help yourself to tea and coffee in the homestead kitchen.
Upstair Gallery: The Paper by Rosemary Laing

Although there’s no need to pre-book, visitors should plan to enter between 10.30am and 1pm and depart between 1.30pm and 4pm due to the single lane access road.
Extreme weather events may lead to the closure of the Bundanon property.
Bundanon staff work closely with local authorities to monitor bushfire warnings and maintain access roads. However, if it rains roads can become slippery in places, so please drive carefully.
