Bundanon is Arthur and Yvonne Boyd’s gift to the Australian people.

Bundanon Trust promotes arts practice and enjoyment by making the Bundanon properties a living arts centre for creating and presenting visual arts, writing, music and other performing arts along with promoting arts education, research and appreciation.

The property, located on 1,100 hectares of pristine bush and fertile farming land on the banks of the Shoalhaven River, consists of the Bundanon Homestead and Arthur Boyd’s Studio and the Boyd Education Centre at the Riversdale site.

Boyd Education Centre Riversdale

Designed by internationally renowned architect Glenn Murcutt, the Boyd Education Centre at Riversdale is Bundanon’s premier facility for arts education, research and development. It hosts residential and non-residential programs, workshops and activities including:

  • Art workshops for different ages and artistic disciplines
  • Primary and secondary school day visits
  • HSC visual arts extension programs
  • Tertiary and adult student day visits
  • Team building workshops
  • Residential programs for primary, secondary, tertiary and adult students and teachers
  • Outreach programs for indigenous groups, youth, people with special needs and remote or disadvantaged schools
  • Musical residencies

The Boyd Education Centre Riversdale is also available for commercial hire on selected dates for weddings, meetings, conferences and workshops.

Stunning views over the Shoalhaven River complement the award winning architecture. All bookings enjoy exclusive use of the facilities and grounds.

Accommodation for up to 38 people is available in dormitory style rooms.

Riversdale Concert Series

Approximately four to six times a year the Boyd Education Centre Riversdale hosts a Sunday afternoon public concert where families can relax with a glass of wine and stunning views of the Shoalhaven River whilst enjoying world class performances in an intimate setting.

The series features high profile artists and groups who have been in residence at Bundanon and often includes world premiers of works developed onsite in response to the environment.

Recent performers include Katie Noonan, Lior, The Sirens Big Band, Ironwood, William Barton and Sydney Symphony Fellows.
