Bundanon is Arthur and Yvonne Boyd’s gift to the Australian people.
Bundanon Trust promotes arts practice and enjoyment by making the Bundanon properties a living arts centre for creating and presenting visual arts, writing, music and other performing arts along with promoting arts education, research and appreciation.
The property, located on 1,100 hectares of pristine bush and fertile farming land on the banks of the Shoalhaven River, consists of the Bundanon Homestead and Arthur Boyd’s Studio and the Boyd Education Centre at the Riversdale site.
Bundanon Homestead and Arthur Boyd’s Studio
Each Sunday, this beautiful heritage listed property is open to the public from 10:30am – 4pm.
Take a guided tour through the Bundanon Homestead and Arthur Boyd’s Studio, explore the homestead gardens with their sculptures of the Boyd family and friends or take one of the four marked bushwalks down to the riverbank or through the eucalypt forests.
The gardens provide a picturesque setting for a picnic lunch, and you can even help yourself to tea and coffee in the homestead kitchen.
As well as immersing yourself in the site’s natural beauty, explore its cultural heritage.
Until November, the homestead’s Upstairs Gallery is hosting the exhibition From the Archives.
This exhibition showcases photographs and letters drawn from Bundanon’s extensive archives including early images of the property, Boyd family photographs and from the founding years of Bundanon Trust.
